Course Structure
Course Day 1 – 8am – 4pm
This is a one day course. It will start with a theory and practical session in the classroom before heading out to practice.
You will then head out for your photography dives at a location to be chosen closer to the time based on best conditions. Upon completing dives, you will return to Dive Spear and Sport to summarise learning and complete your paperwork for certification.
What to bring:
- Swimmers
- Towel
- Full dive kit (or hire included in the course price).
- Snacks / lunch or money for snacks / lunch
- Your camera, underwater housing and all accessories incl. manual (incase). Cameras can be hired for $100 but it’s recommended to bring your own if you have one.
What it costs
The cost of the Underwater Photography Course is $345.
Price includes the learning materials, all certifications, two dives, instruction and hire scuba gear (if required).

- Open water scuba diver certification
- Min age 18 or 10 with parental consent.
